Berean Baptist Church was planted in 2004 as a small group of believers gathered in a home for the purpose of establishing an independent Baptist church committed to the historic, foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, biblically conservative principles of worship, and appropriate separation from false doctrine, worldliness, and ecumenical religious activities.
After out-growing the house, the group moved to a conference room at a local hotel, and eventually to the gymnasium of a school. In 2016, God providentially provided the opportunity to purchase an existing church building on the northeast side of Lafayette, near the Hoosier Heartland Highway and exit 175 of I-65.
BBC now has over 100 people in attendance most Sundays, supports several missionaries to foreign countries and a remote village in Alaska, and has several ministries in addition to the regular Sunday and Wednesday services.
BBC desires to continue to faithfully proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with an emphasis on expository preaching, Bible study, and Christian fellowship and edification. Our desire is for families to be able to grow and thrive in their walk with the Lord as the Word of God is preached and believers love and serve one another and evangelize the community.
