What to Expect

If you’re planning a visit, we want to warmly welcome you and give you an idea of what to expect so your experience can be most edifying.  You can find answers to the questions most often asked below.

Sunday School – 9:30 AM

Our Sunday School is a teaching time for all ages in distinct groupings beginning at age 2.  A nursery is provided for children younger than age 2.  Our goal is to communicate the timeless truths of the Bible in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Children through the sixth grade go directly to their classrooms. An usher/greeter can help you find the appropriate room. Our adults and teens meet in our sanctuary for an opening time where we sing a song, share announcements and prayer requests, and greet one another. Teens move to our fellowship hall following the opening.

Worship Service – Sunday 10:45 AM

This service is specifically designed to exalt the Lord in worship. We strive for reverent, conservative worship focused on God and centered in His Word, giving this service a traditional “feel”. We do this through congregational singing, Scripture reading, giving of tithes and offerings, pastoral prayer, and practical, expository preaching from God’s Word. This service lasts a little over an hour.

For families with young children we offer a nursery up to age four making our Morning Worship Service and Building Disciples Evening Service multi-generational.

Building Disciples Evening Service - Sunday 5:00 PM

Whereas our morning service is centered primarily on worship and expositional preaching, our evening service, Building Disciples, is a little bit more casual and is a time of edification and spiritual enrichment through singing, topical teaching, missionary presentations and reports, and welcoming new members. It is meant to be an encouraging close to the Lord’s Day and an opportunity for our church family to connect with and minister to one another. It is more relational and is meant to have “family” feel to it, and at the close of the service, many people linger to visit with one another.  The Building Disciples Evening Service is about an hour long.

Midweek Connection – Wednesday 6:30 PM

Our Midweek Connection provides an opportunity for the church family to share and understand each other’s spiritual and physical needs for the purpose of prayer. After singing together, our church family shares praises and prayer requests. The pastor leads the church in prayer and offers encouragements to continue to pray for one another.  Time is spent in the Word of God to close out the service which lasts a little over an hour. During the school year, children age 4 through sixth grade meet in the fellowship hall for Kids-4Truth.  A nursery is provided for children younger than four.
